Project Management Competition (PMC)

The Project Management Championship

is targeted at full-time students in higher education studying project-related courses. Its core objectives are to enhance student involvement in the field of project management, to raise interest in professional project management at a national and international level, as well as to advance the dialogue, knowledge sharing, and know-how between research and the business world. Only full-time Bachelor and Master students, under 35 years of age are eligible for the competition. 

IPMA Project Management Competition (PMC) is an international competition organized by the International Project Management Association (IPMA) and its IPMA Young Crew network, which is a global network of young project management professionals. The competition aims to provide a platform for young project managers to showcase their skills, knowledge, and innovative project management approaches.

How does the competition work?

  1. Qualification round (national) 

    • Each team requires 3-4 members. 

    • Qualification online test is completed within 100 minutes, which includes 100 multiple choice questions (maturity level, IPMA D level certification). The online test language is English. 

    • The test must be completed in one attempt and can be accessed only from one computer.
       

  2. National Final 

    • There are 6-8 teams competing. Each team must solve a case study and submit their own presentation to an independent Jury who will announce the winners.
       

  3. International Final 

    • The different National Champions compete against other national winning teams for the title of International PM Champion. 

    • The International Final is a 2-day event hosted in a different country each year, ending with a Gala Dinner where the announcement of the new International PM Champion takes place.
