GET CERTIFIED
Certification is open to anyone who is eligible in terms of their project management knowledge and experience. One does not need to be a member of IPMA South Africa to apply for certification and we only offer certification in English.

A brief overview of the certification levels is provided below. Please contact us for a detailed description of the requirements and eligibility criteria for certification at these levels.
An IPMA certification at Level D requires that the candidate has knowledge of the Competence Elements (CEs) related to project management.
Eligibility criteria: There is no previous experience required and only knowledge of CEs related to project management is assessed.
An IPMA certification at Level C requires that the candidate has acted in a project management role within a moderately complex project environment.
Eligibility criteria: within the last six years the candidate needs to have a minimum of three years’ experience in a project management role.
An IPMA certification at Level B requires that the candidate has been responsible for the management of complex projects, programmes or portfolios.
Eligibility criteria: a minimum of five years relevant experience with at least three years in responsible leadership role.
An IPMA certification at Level A requires that the candidate has been responsible for the management of very complex projects, programmes or portfolios that have a strategic impact on the organisation.
Eligibility criteria: a minimum of five years relevant experience with at least three years in a strategic leadership role.
